ho trovato veramente piacevole il rientro nell'appartamento, dopo le giornate di mare e/o visite tur

Pro: la disponibilità e la cortesia del proprietario, presente personalmente e sempre raggiungibile, anche se non abbiamo avuto necessità particolari l'abitazione è ben strutturata, luminosa e confortevole; la cucina è completa, le camere ampie e il soggiorno decisamente piacevole la posizione è ottima, vicina al mare e a pochi minuti dal centro vitale di Ortigia; utile anche la possibilità di un garage nelle vicinanze per poter parcheggiare l'auto

Pro: Superlatives for the host, the property, Ortigia! Tiptop communication, Antonio picked us up with his car at the train station, showed us around in his beautiful and spacious appartment, with balconies and terrace, fully equipped bathroom and kitchen. We felt at home right away.

Contro: Everything was simply perfect.

Great Apartment Ortiga

Pro: Excellent apartment very well situated in Ortygia. . Warmand comfortable with hot water and a nice big TV and couch for viewing. Able to perform own laundry if necessary. Two toilets and very good bathroom. Antonio was really helpful and met us then dropped us off on arrival and departure at the bus terminus

Contro: IIt is on the 2nd floor so there are 30 Marble steps to get there but I am sure this would be ok for most people

Antonio was the perfect host. The apartment was a great base for enjoying all Ortigia has to offer!

Pro: As 2 older women travelling with heavy luggage, we need not have been concerned about getting our stuff up tp this apartment. Thru WhatsApp, Antonio arranged to meet us at a nearby cafe, help with our bags and guide us to the apartment. He was punctual and very kind, as was his strong friend, Tony. Antonio helped us get settled, turn on the hot water, etc. He recommended a great place for pizza! He was clearly and deservedly proud of the apartment's amenities, comfort and location. We, too, loved the central location and appreciated being able to return to a comfortable \

Contro: Nothing could have been better. The location was superb, a stones throw from a great coffee place, Profumi e sapori, and a great restaurant, Clandestine. We loved the shopping, and the food all over town. We had a very enjoyable boat trip to the caves and swam in warm, turquoise waters in late September.

An exquisite, cool, beautiful apartment in a fascinating location

Pro: Our stay in this place was outstanding. Early contact with our host, Antonio, was excellent, and he very kindly met us at the station and took us to the apartment. It used to be his own apartment and is a wonderful place to stay - an elegant dining room indoors, but also a terrace with awning/shade where we ate breakfasts and occasional other meals. It was very well set up to use the shutters throughout the apartment to regulate the temperature and keep it cool indoors. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and ideal for buying fresh fish and gorgeous, ripe fruit from the wonderful market and cooking it. The location was very good. Ortigia is a great place for wandering around, and there are good restaurants and shops nearby. Having a washing machine was excellent. We also had excellent day trips to Ragusa and Noto while we were here.

Contro: - Nothing to do with the apartment, but the information on buses in Siracusa/Ortigia is poor and difficult to find either at the bus station or online, and the QR codes aren't very helpful either. Another time I'd plan to use the buses more, as they seem plentiful. - There was some building work taking place outside the back of the apartment, so mornings/breakfasts weren't as peaceful as they might have been. But it was at a manageable level (not too noisy, didn't start too early).

Pro: Stylish apartment, with charming hosts. The ambience and location perfectly capture the best of all that Ortigia has to offer. 2 minutes walk to the sea, the baroque splendour and delicious food. We hope to come back !

Spacious, centrally located apartment with very comfortable beds.

Pro: This is a spacious, centrally located property with one of the most comfortable beds i have slept in.

Contro: We would have liked some comfortable furniture on the terrace. It was a real sun trap but the dining chairs were not conducive to relaxation.

Italian hospitality at its best.

Pro: Our host Antonio. He speaks English and French and communicated promptly and clearly before our arrival. He was kind enough to collect us from the railway station which was so helpful arriving as we did in the evening. Not having to search for one’s accommodation with baggage was a huge relief. He may not always able to offer this service. Taxis seem scarce but we soon discovered the very useful 106 bus, the stop is nearby, which takes you to Siracusa Bus and Railway Stations. There is a shop just up the road but as we were there for a week we found a large supermarket on the mainland. The apartment is very spacious, well equipped and reasonably priced. The beds and bedding comfortable with feather pillows. There is a secluded and sunny small outside terrace. The location is very quiet but lovely restaurants are everywhere. Sicilian food!

Contro: It was advertised as having two bathrooms. There is one well equipped bathroom and one separate toilet with a cold tap. Naturally being in an historic building and on the top floor there are some stairs to negotiate. These are probably good for us and only a bit of an effort with heavy baggage.

A home from home in Ortigia

Pro: The apartment is wonderfully situated in the Guidecca, a stroll from everything in Ortigia. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well appointed and the whole place naturally cool, though if necessary the excellent (and quiet) aircon, took no time to help. Antonio was hospitality personified. We felt so welcomed into his apartment, where he previously lived and you could sense that. We made full use of the cooking and laundry facilities and were very pleased with all aspects. From a practical perspective, there are a number of small grocery shops nearby and several very good restaurants. The useful, and easy to use , 106 bus stops just around the corner and will take you into Siracusa to visit there, or to the bus/train station for trips farther afield such as Noto. We cannot recommend Antonio’s apartment highly enough.

A fabulous apartment in a beautiful city.

Pro: The hosts were delightful; They met us and assisted us into the property, gave us keys and explained everything. The apartment is beautiful and really well appointed. It's in a great position near to restaurants and a supermarket, close to the seafront.

Contro: Nothing it's great. The only thing we missed was an accessible beach, however we did swim off the platform at the end of the road, which was handy.
