Palazzo Amalfitania

Pro: Appartamenti arredati con gusto, molto ampi e confortevoli, dotati di tutto il necessario. Ottima pulizia. Posizione centrale. Parcheggio a 700m.

Pro: La camera é molto nuova, pulita e centralissima. L'host Alessandro molto disponibile.

Contro: Forse la scala di accesso é molto ripida e quando si hanno molti bagagli non é semplice.

Pro: Posizione eccezionale centralissima, staff molto gentile e disponibile (in particolare Giuseppe che abbiamo conosciuto all’arrivo), terrazza deliziosa, tutto molto nuovo e pulitissimo

Pro: Stupendo appartamento nel cuore di Ortigia. Locali, bancarelle, negozi tutti a portata di mano. La macchina va parcheggiata a 8 min circa per via delle ztl. Ma è una vuona scusa per continuare a visitare ortigia

Pro: Great location. Very comfortable apartment. Had everything we required.

Contro: There are alot of stairs to negotiate so not suitable for people with mobility issues. Very noisy until midnight and 630 am rubbish disposal was our alarm clock every morning. This did not concern us as we loved the atmosphere and the apartment.

Family holiday in Ortigia

Pro: The location is absolutely fantastic. You walk outside the door and there are lovely restaurants everywhere and it is a 2 minute walk from the piazzo duomo and the Diana fountain. The terrace is a great size and gets the sun a lot of the day. There are juliette balconies which overlook the streets from both bedrooms. The apartment is an old building but rooms have been recently renovated in a tasteful way. Alessandro was very accommodating and delivered extra pillows on request and had milk in for us arriving as no shops would have been open for us. There is use of a washing machine on the 1st floor.

Contro: I didn't realise when booking that there isn't actually a living room to sit in. The terrace is large but sometimes it was too hot too sit out as there is little shade. The kitchen area is very small so isn't suitable for proper cooking. This didn't bother us as we wanted to eat out. There are over 50 stairs to reach the apartment and they are quite steep - this isn't a negative as such as for me the location outweighs the stairs but something to bare in mind when booking (my parents struggled as they are 70 years old). Could do with cleaning products inside the apartment just to keep on top of day to day cleaning. Also storage for clothes was limited, could do with a chest of drawers in the bedrooms. Overall we had a good stay and I would stay again.

Lovely stay as we wanted local Sicilian food and wine. The area is beautiful with Churches , Art Galleries and Museums.

Pro: Central Ortigia could not be faulted, all the restaurants you need for a week close by. Very modern apartments in an original village house. Well equipped and air conditioned, if required for the hot summer.

Contro: It is central and noisy at peak eating times in the day and evening. The recycling for restaurants is early morning and noisy but that’s expected in such a location.

Excellent location close to sites, but very noisy.

Pro: The location was good - very close to the sites we were wanting to visit. The flat was comfortable, and the host was very helpful when I locked ourselves out of the flat.

Contro: The flat is directly above many eateries, and the one directly below had music playing very loudly, intolerably so, and they seemed also to have a dog that barked without control until midnight. There were earplugs provided, but they did not help much.

Pro: The apartment is spacious and lovely. Well decorated and comfortable. Located in the middle of the busiest street of Ortigia so close to everything

Contro: Very noisy all day especially at night. The bars and restaurants downstairs play loud music until late at night and you can hear the people in the streets despite the wonderful double windows.

Pro: Perfect location, flat had everything needed for a short stay, air conditioning powerful. Check in very easy and host attentive.
