Domus Ottavia in Ortigia

Pro: Appartamento centralissimo, arredato con cura e dotato di tutte le comodità. Proprietari e Domy (che ci ha accolti al nostro arrivo) sempre super disponibili e attenti alle nostre esigenze. Suggerito garage a 150 m dall'appartamento e anche in quest'ultimo caso servizio ineccepibile. Consigliatissimo.

Contro: La doccia un po' datata.

Pro: We loved everything about this apartment. It has a wonderful atmosphere—the natural light, the peaceful quiet, and the excellent facilities all made our stay incredibly comfortable. The location is ideal: close to everything you need, yet still offering a sense of retreat and privacy. The stone beach nearby is absolutely stunning. Marco, Antonella and Martina were fantastic hosts and made everything seamless from start to finish.

Contro: The street entrance/gate could feel more inviting with a bit of greenery—adding some plants would really enhance the space.

Pro: My family had a great stay in Marco’s apartment. This place is spacious, well decorated, quiet and conveniently located. The owner Marco and his local manager Domenica were very responsive to our questions. Domenica welcomed us at the entrance and provided us great help with parking, finding a taxi service, and also referred awesome restaurants and sights of Ortigia. Thank you!

Pro: Beautiful apartment in the most beautiful island Ortigia. Couldn’t fault anything. We were crying our eyes out when leaving. I will see you next year. Vaiva and Giulio

Nice flat, didn't match the price as we were disturbed by the construction site

Pro: Very nice flat, kinda historic bed you`d wish to have for yourself, ok kitchen, bialetti a bit rusty, nice cutlery and dishes, books and decorations. Living room is big with a small terrace. Neighbors are very nice and have a cute dog. Living room might need an armchair added to the couch, but would be perfect as 2nd bedroom anyway. It is quite in the middle of the inner city of Ortigia. We managed to arrange the checkout not to be at 10 but at 11 as we were travelling with a child. First 2 Nights were perfect.

Contro: On the 3rd day at 8 am we woke up from the constructions site on the other side of the patio just 5m away, hammering and sanding down stuff. Luckily it didn't take too long, just about 2 hours but then we were really awake. 3rd to 4th night no tap water (no shower). On the 4th day (checkout at 11) after water water was availaible again it was a red and rusty.

The nice, clean and spacious apparment

Pro: The nice, clean and spacious apparment in the quiet house near the center and 200 m from the sea. For the family ideal. We had everything what we needed. The landlady Domenica was wery kind, she advised us the tips on the good trips, places, shops and restaurants. The city Siracusa was beautiful, clean and full interesting coffees, monuments and espesially great atmosphere. Not missing the big daily market, where you can buy cheap fishes, sea fruits, fruit and vegetables. Only beach was small, but you can go by train to beautiful beach Fontane Bianche, the way takes 15 minut. Near the Siracusa are the interesting and beutiful towns. It was the great holiday, I recommend.

Lived up to all my expectations and more!

Pro: The location is excellent near the Jewish quarter in Ortigia, just a short walk from everything. Domenica is charming and extremely helpful. She was very responsive to our messages and organised garage parking for us, which is advisable in Ortigia. The spacious apartment is beautifully furnished and full of character. It is accessed through an inner courtyard and up stairs on the first floor, with two sunny balconies. It is very well equipped with everything from kitchen scales to a washing machine and iron. There are ample pots and pans for cooking the local produce bought in the daily street market.

Contro: The shower room is a little dated, but who really cares when you are in such a beautiful location!

Paradise Found in Ortigia - Siracusa - Sicilia - Italia 🇮🇹

Pro: We Loved the overall feel, decor and plan of this property located in the very Heart ❤️‍🔥 of fascinating and Romantic Ortigia Island, in Siracusa. Perfect for 4 people, especially a Family of 4. Tranquil and tucked away in an inner courtyard, so characteristic of Ortigia. The apartment is compact but spacious ! Very well equipped. Step outside and You find yourself surrounded by beauty. We fell in love with the culture, architecture and easy life. Cafés, restaurants and bars are everywhere and the food is to die for ! Simply excellent nosh everywhere. Big on excellent Street food too. And the blue sea is only minutes away to cool You down. In ten minutes You can walk anywhere in Ortigia. And yet it offers so many tranquil nooks and crannies too. Magic Ortigia ❤️‍🔥

Man fühlt sich hier wirklich schnell zu Hause

Pro: Die Lage ist super, kurze Wege zum einkaufen, in gute Restaurants, zum Meer, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel Sehr geräumig, luftig, ruhige Lage im Zentrum von Ortigia. Die Ausstattung bietet genügend Komfort um auch einen längeren Aufenthalt zu genießen.

Contro: Das Bad funktioniert, aber der Dusche würde eine Sanierung gut tun. Die Küche ist relativ gut ausgestattet, neues Kochfeld, vll eher einiges was mehrfach vorhanden ist, könnte aussortiert werden um die Reinigung zu vereinfachen.
