Pro: Posizione perfetta per visitare Ortigia, appartamento comodissimo e fornito di tutto quello che poteva servire, arredamento di gusto in ampi spazi da godere (anche all'esterno). Staff gentilissimo e disponibile

Pro: L'appartamento ha tutto il necessario per un soggiorno perfetto. Le foto dimostrano la realtà. Ottima ubicazione.

Incredible views from a beautiful apartment. We will definitely return in the future!

Pro: Incredible view of the sea from the lounge and comfort of our bed (on mezzanine level). Loved the spacious feel of the apartment and beautiful, ornate furnishings. Had all the amenities we needed from basic pantry items to lots of towels and linen. Even had umbrellas, which was extremely helpful and thoughtful of the host. The apartment was one of the best we had stayed in in terms of comfort and views of the sea. The beds were very comfortable. The place was really clean. Really loved how quiet the apartment was and its proximity to everything. Fabio was super helpful in terms of local recommendations and check in info, though we did have initial challenges with admin which I'll touch on later in my review.

Contro: 1. Check-in Neither Booking.com nor the host appeared to be aware of the existing legislation in Italy prohibiting online check in for rental accommodation. When I raised this with the host, he simply stated that physical check in was not possible and that, despite having already paid, I would be unable to access the property without completing the online check in process. Given my understanding of the recent legislation, I was uncomfortable providing extensive personal information - including copies of all guests’ passports - to a third party platform. This requirement was not indicated in the Booking.com confirmation, which states that online check in is an optional feature intended to speed up arrival, not a mandatory step. As a result, I found myself having to complete this unexpected task the evening before departure, which was particularly stressful as I had an early morning flight. 2. Second room There are two sleeping areas - one on mezzanine level, which provides plenty of natural light, the second at the back, backing onto the courtyard. Whilst a lovely room, there is limited natural light as the shutter is very old and doesn't operate well. At night, light comes in from the courtyard so we needed to try and block the window with cushions to aide sleep. When I fed this back to Fabio he was very receptive to my feedback and assures me that they will look into resolving this for future guests. 3. Safety aspects for small kids My 4 year old daughter accidently rolled off the bed onto the mezzanine level and landed very close to the railing of the mezzanine, which has a circa half meter gap from the floor to the first railing. God forbid if she had rolled further. It was certainly a caution for us to monitor the kids carefully if playing in that area and a caution to anyone travelling with very young kids to bear in mind. There is also no banister on the stairs. 4. Parking - closest parking is 0.8 miles away and it's expensive - 15 euros a day.

Amazing location and beautiful housing

Pro: Loved it decorated with great taste ! And looks very Sicilian. Location is amazing and the view & terrasses are breathtakingly beautiful.

Contro: One of the bed wasn’t confortable (a sofa bed in one room) at all (so 2 guests had a hard time to accommodate) The external bathroom had an issue to close and one person got locked in.

A comfortable and memorable stay in a perfect location

Pro: Very comfortable and stylish apartment, perfect for 7 of us and room to give each other space. Location absolutely ideal for Ortigia! In a quiet side street but super close to walk to everywhere on the island. We swam every morning from the platform only a couple of minutes from the apartment, it was wonderful. Communication with the host was great. Thanks a lot and recommend!

Certainly a great place to stay in Syracuse

Pro: The location and the design of the apartment were excellent. A very elegant, designer-styled apartment that left nothing to be desired in terms of amenities. From the apartment, one could quickly reach the beach or all the sights in the old town.

Contro: The many rules that were not communicated in advance, such as not being allowed to cook fish or meat in the kitchen, or high penalties (imposed by the landlord) for not disposing of garbage correctly or at all upon check-out. No advance information that the apartment is located in a restricted traffic zone (and therefore cannot be accessed even for unloading luggage without notifying the police).

The best Italy trio so far - would stay there again - love it!!!!

Pro: It was so central and had all the space we needed for a girls 60th birthday trip - good having enough bathrooms!

Beautiful apartment in great location

Pro: Location was amazing and the whole apartment was beautiful and well equipped.

Contro: The bed in the main bedroom upstairs was very uncomfortable. Luckily we could use the bedroom downstairs instead.

Pro: What an incredible property, perfectly located on Ortigia - the windows opened out the to ocean with the most magical Sunrise's. Located directly across from stair access to the water to swim. The property was very clean, beautifully styled and ample room for a family of 4. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Contro: Washing powder and small cleaning products would be useful.

Amazing stay in beautiful Ortigia !

Pro: Location of property fantastic and layout of apartment and bedrooms nice.

Contro: Showers not great water pressure.
